About Bensons

We have a large number of listings covering residential, commercial, agricultural and land sales covering from Strabane through to Ballymena; and currently we act for most of the major banks and are currently retained on the valuation panel for the First Trust, Danske Bank and Bank of Ireland. We also advise a number of the old Family Estates and have a diverse portfolio of builders and commercial clients.

Columb was the founder member of the IAVI (Irish Auctioneers and Valuers Institute) in Northern Ireland. This has now amalgamated with the RICS and Columb is now a fully FRICS accredited member. Bensons is also a regulated firm with both RICS and NAEA (National Association of Estate Agents).

Dan is a fully qualified Chartered Accountant having completed his training with KPMG Belfast. Once leaving KPMG Dan joined the family Business of Bensons. During the next few years Dan together with his father grew the business significantly. To complement his Accountancy qualification Dan also completed membership of the National Association of Estate Agents and in 2014 become a fully qualified member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. Dan is now a fully qualified Chartered Surveyor and is also a member of the RICS Registered Valuers scheme.

Training
You can be sure you are dealing witn professionals as The Guild offers training through its Guild Associate Scheme. This is an educational training system for Member's staff to ensure fundamental technical competency throughout the network. It covers the basic legal estate agency practice, plus knowledge of The Property Ombudsman, The Guild and Money Laundering. Entrants are examined on their competency and, when an adequate level of proficiency is achieved, are invited to become a Guild Associate.

Auditing
The Guild is committed to raising industry standards with compulsory auditing for new Members. This ensures that every agent operates to the same level.
